I guess I was wrong about the Special being smaller but the Jazz Plus body is definitely smaller than a regular Jazz bass. I think you’re right about playing it more and getting more comfortable with it. I also think the flatwounds are throwing me off a little.

Yeah! This P bass a hair under 8 so I know it probably won't get too much lighter than that. I'm also tall so it's not like I need something small I just don't think I've played a full sized bass regularly. My last bass that I played in a band years ago was another Jazz Plus.

Thanks man! I had all the changes made at the same time. It was WAY more neck heavy with the original tuners. The tuners now are Gotoh GB528 Resolites. I did have to get the mounting holes drilled but the neck dive was pretty crazy when I got it. I have it wired like a regular jazz bass now...
