A Schertler electrostatic pickup should fit. It will require a small piece of wood being glued to the bridge (as with any bridge). I think the Schertler is a better choice than the Realist, both when it comes to sound and mechanical/electrical quality. (Strictly IMHO)

That is not correct. A piece of plastic foam (however in a piece of beautiful, green hose) cannot suck water out of the air. When the humidifier is in normal use, it is wet and water evaporates until it is dry. The reverse thing cannot happen, just as clothes hung out for drying won't get wet...
