Guys: I notice a significant volume difference from my G string versus E A D strings. G string is approximately 50% less in volume than E A D strings. I adjusted the Pickups closer to the G string, which didn't help significantly - thoughts?

I am about to begin shopping for an amp/cab. I play smaller rooms but am interested in a minimum of 400 watts. Possibly 4 12's. I would like to avoid the heavy, cumbersome gear but want real quality stuff. I'd like to keep it at $1,000 bucks or less.......Any advice as to what to start...
