    I agree, but it all depends on the amplification you have. If you have an amplifier that sends heavy and you boost the bass as much as possible, on a position that uses the neck pickup, you will immediately paralyze your fellow musicians!

    Sabre is a Swiss army knife! I think, to cross the mix, do not boost the equalization too much, so as to have more medium. If you boost bass too much, the Sabre sends a lot of very low frequencies which penalizes the intelligibility of the signal and the instrument record level.

    I don't know how sounds exactly HH Stingray, but I think more modern than Sabre and less versatile.     The old ones had trussrod at the headstock because of 3 bolts on neck with micro tilt system ( like some 70's Fender) 4 and 6 bolt on neck have a trussrod wheel at the heel of neck.
