Early SB1 and SB2 Ad Flier

Are you turning the pics to a vertical position in your photo editor? It looks like you might have held your camera sideways when you took the pics. If you do that then you have to rotate the pictures before you upload them.

    G&L Club

Sure wish I had a Club Member Number. I think that I will also post a Huge A$$ picture of my bass. That should get me in the club, don't you think? Well guess they are not Huge A$$ but my Pink Floyd Strap should give me some preferential treatment! :spit:

    Test Driving 2004 JB 2

I like the JB-2 although it does not seem near as popular as the L 2000. In the future I will test out a few more G & L's and add to the collection. The SB-2 is one that I have been considering but, I never played a L 2000 and feel that I am missing out on something. How hard was it to get...

    Test Driving 2004 JB 2

If I want to boost the bass with a preamp I figured I could just add an equalizer pedal so I opted for the quality of a G & L. My G & L is one that is definetly overappreciated. Don't quite understand an underappreciated G & L. Possibly some people don't understand what is good for them.

    Test Driving 2004 JB 2

For those who are interested. Today I went in and looked at the Ibanez SR 750. It is a nice guitar. Got to love the JB-2 sound and the Ibanez was not capable of producing that sound. Although the Ibanez is a well built guitar the fit and finish doesn't even come close to comparing to a G &...

    G&L Club

I would like to join. Just purchased a Made in USA 2004 JB-2 Sunburst used from Sam Ash. Love this bass and plan on adding more G & L's. By the way that is my son playing. I have added padding around the torso. Thanks, Audie

    Best bass guitar manufacturer?

Well Owen, Do a lot of dilligent research on the internet, call a few companies, order a $5000 Bass on the internet. Then you might get that Bass play it and hate it. There is no substitute for a good music store that cares for their customers and wants to make sure that the customer...

    Test Driving 2004 JB 2

As a relatively new bass player I don't think missing two upper frets will matter much. I am really starting to lean toward the JB 2, probably because I play it every night and really enjoy it. Every night I play it I feel that it has a nice smooth tone and will probably be really accustomed to...

    Test Driving 2004 JB 2

Nothing but a new pair of strings is going to happen to this guitar for some time. It sounds good to me now with the existing pups and when the time comes that I want to change the sound than I will probably consider Nordstrands. I will need to play quite a bit and gig with other people to...

    Test Driving 2004 JB 2

It would be a while before I consider pup's because I am digging the nice clean sound of my JB 2 now. Looks like Nordstrands would be the way I go if I ever made that decision. Right now my ears are not as well trained as a seasoned bass player so I get a lot of enjoyment out of the stock rig...

    Test Driving 2004 JB 2

That is a thought on the strings. My P Bass was restrung with Roto Sound RS 66LD. Are you suggesting the EXL165TP Knickel Round Wound 45-65-85-105's. I use finger style and don't slap yet. I need to try out different strings anyway until I find what I like. That may take some time. Flat...

    Test Driving 2004 JB 2

Yeah I got the feeling that this is the one that I will end up with. That is great that it has the premier finish and I never really thought about it having the Gun Oil Rub. It is a really light guitar especially compared to my Squire Affinity P Bass. As far as sound goes I think it has a...

    Test Driving 2004 JB 2

There we have it. I got a pic of my son playing the JB 2. Referring back to a previous post this should also improve my bass playing skills. LOL

    Test Driving 2004 JB 2

The traditional sound will bode well with me. I really do like the JB 2 and am glad to hear that it is not the red headed step child ( I actually really have a 30 year old red headed step child, he is cool though). The quality of the G & L is superb, the sound is good, and I like it being a...

    Test Driving 2004 JB 2

Your opinion is greatly appreciated and I plan on bringing the SR 750 home for a couple of days because I really feel that playing a bass in the store does not give you a good enough time to evaluate. Being fairly new to bass I have noticed that the JB-2 does amplify my fingers sliding on the...
