Not sure what exactly you're asking. Like I said in the OP I'm mostly looking for 4 strings in trades, but don't have anything specific in mind.

I just got a chance to weigh it. I used a bathroom scale that doesn't seem particularly accurate, it was jumping around a little so take this with a grain of salt, but I think right around 10 lbs, maybe slightly less.

I had to look up what a k-mod was on these basses. So it's a mod you can do to add a third configuration for the series/parallel switch? The middle switch for series/parallel only has two positions so I'm guessing it doesn't have it.

Are you letting the strings warm up before you see if they're in tune? Play for a little while before you check your tuning. The metal in the strings changes a bit once they heat up.
