You choose who you want to jam with. I haven't been on since the beta ended, but you create a jam session and either open it for anyone to join or lock it and only invite the people you want to jam with. obg

So a quick question about replacing a nut.

$60 seems very reasonable for a new bone nut. I've just starting making nuts, and there's a fair bit of work and a fair investment in tools if you're going to do it right. I wouldn't recommend the DIY route unless you're going to do several nuts. I do highly recommend it if you're into DIY on...

SX SPJ-62 Fretless conversion and neck refinish

Nic - I wish I could answer this question, but you've just seen the absolute limit of my experience with using heat to remove bubbles from epoxy. As a side note - I'm now convinced that applying very thin coats of epoxy is superior to using a heavy coat - especially when fretboard has a radius...

Thanks blipndub. The feedback from this community on this thread has been nothing less than amazing. I'm as gratified if not more so with the success of the thread than I am with the actual refinish. I've been influenced and motivated by so many other fine players and craftsman in this community...

That's awesome Hammerhed - I'm very pleased that you found my adventures with this neck conversion/refinish informative and inspiring. Please consider posting the results of your conversion. I'd be very interested to see how it turns out. obg

SX SPJ-62 Fretless conversion and neck refinish

I got serious a few weeks back about finishing this project and I pushed myself out of my rut and got it done. My main problem with the epoxy was with my application. I was applying the epoxy too heavily. I decided to try a couple of light coats instead. The initial problem with light coats for...

Questions about SX basses/I'm ordering mine tomorrow

I have the lefty version of that bass and just got a 4+1 jazz bass. I always replace the pots, jacks and switches on my SX/Agile/Douglas gear just as a rule, but in most cases you don't have to. Another great bang for buck is to upgrade the plastic nut to bone or one of the high-grade synthetic...

Not yet as I haven't finished it. Real life and other projects have kept me out of my workshop for quite a while. Seeing these posts again has invigorated me and I'm thinking about going back to work on it. I miss that bass. The neck is sanded down and ready for another coat of epoxy. I'm...

I really don't know anything about the B9, but from what I do know, the ASIO driver is the key to eJamming. You can download the client and I believe there's a free trial for eJamming. You can use that to talk to some of the eJamming technical support folks that hang out in the eJamming Lobby...
