I appreciate your input. I know alot of guys say just save and go for a higher end one, but just getting back into playing bass after 15 years I don't want to overspend on something just yet. Was looking at the sub sterling 5hh and sire v3/m2 but Im thinking this choice might be better.

To be honest they both look beautiful I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything quality wise. Just trying to find the best bang for my buck at a $500 budget new to play funky stuff all the way to lamb of god and deftones(versatility wise).

Hey guys curious, looking to either buy the ibanez 305edx or the ibanez 375e. The 375e worth spending the extra cash on? Under $500 so far Ibanez seems to be the best so im between these 2. Thanks!

This has my attention. I played an ibanez sr305edx yesterday(5string). Had a decent amount of buzz from that B string and its a 34''. Is it because of that? As I am looking at getting a 5 string as well ,is it better for me to go with one with a 35" for a good sounding B?

Okay guys. So I had the chance to play an Ibanez sr 305edx today at guitar center and absolutely loved it. I think I’m going to end up going with this one even though I said I was gonna go a different route this time(that’s what the next bass is for right?) .

Haven't been able to find any spector performer 5's at the stores near me, how would you guys say this lineup compares with other basses in the same price range?

honestly I’ve been contemplating that. Figured if I’m coming back might as well start it off with a 5 string this time to make it more versatile for when I do play metal. Maybe the 5 string version of the ray would be better then.

You're right, its hard to beat the neck on an ibanez, it was my favorite thing about my old one, that and the bartalonis. I wanted to go with something with more of a classic style like a p or jazz bass, but haven't found one that I felt really comfy with yet. But the music mans have that...
