P Bass with TI flats. +1 on the Grizzly. I’ve been through a few low gain drives. I have settled on the Grizzly Bass. I use the Overdrive and the High Cut, leave the mid scoop alone. There are a few demos on YouTube. It’s a very pleasing tubey sound to me and always on.

On my Bergantino B amp the front and effect loop inputs are both post the head’s pre-amp so the only difference is that the bass-in on the front has adjustable gain.

Just added a Mozztronics DI to my Bergantino as a pre amp. Berg is a great amp, but the Mozz di adds a beautiful saturated valve tone that I couldn’t get with the DSP. The Bergantino drives are really good, but I’ll be using the slightly overdriven DI as my always on base tone.

Hi. Given that the effects loop is pre DSP, is it the case that there is no difference between running effects before the guitar input and running effects in the loop? Asking because the 4 cable method of connecting devices like the Helix are often used because delay and modulation effects...

I have a Bergantino B Amp. The loop is pre-DSP. The only effect I use is a Markbass Compressore and I've tried putting it before the amp and in the effects loops. There is no perceptible difference to me. Which makes sense in an amp that has the loop prior to the tone shaping circuits.

I've joined the club. Been looking out for one of these for a while. As new condition from Twang Central, a lovely little second hand guitar store in Adelaide. Set up by the owner Terry with La Bella DTFs and strap locks. Massive sound through my Bergantino B Amp.
