    Hudson Electronics Broadcast

Put a Broadcast on my board yesterday. I have the standard single channel one that takes 9-24volts. I’m running it from the 24v aux output on the CIOKs DC7. I had to by the little adapter cable which cost about $5. It has tons of head room and on the low gain side it goes from clean to dirtier...

Yes I like Mozztronics. Boutique maker in Melbourne at mass production prices. Looper and Line selector are for stereo drum loops.

Flatwound player looking for natural, low gain grit/bloom.... Blackberry?

P Bass with TI flats. +1 on the Grizzly. I’ve been through a few low gain drives. I have settled on the Grizzly Bass. I use the Overdrive and the High Cut, leave the mid scoop alone. There are a few demos on YouTube. It’s a very pleasing tubey sound to me and always on.

Yes you can definitely overdrive the tube with the gain. I think it sounds best just before breakup. Or with just a little. Gain about 1 o’clock for me. It tends to lose definition if you push it too hard but all overdrive does to some extent. I could be wrong about this but I think in his large...

I really like it. The Bergantino is clean and transparent (and light weight) and the Mozztronics adds some nice character. You can overdrive it but I prefer to get grit from the Grizzly. I usually bypass the Eq on the Mozz. I’m using it as a simple tube pre-amp straight through, although the...

I now have the Mozztronics DI Mark II. Really loving the warmth and sparkle into the Bergantino. I leave the all the Berg effects off apart from the HPF and usually have the Eq flat. On my board I run a Unit67, to HX One (usually set to Regal), to Grizzly Bass, to Empress Bass Comp. That’s it...

Fender P into: Dry Bell Unit67 - a little compression and the eq set a just above unity, provides a nice gain boost and lots of mojo HX One - usually on Regal pre-amp, otherwise as phaser or delay - also tuner Grizzly Bass - love this pedal for grit and treble cut Empress Bass Comp - so easy to...

Bass Preamp in front of amp or send/return?

On my Bergantino B amp the front and effect loop inputs are both post the head’s pre-amp so the only difference is that the bass-in on the front has adjustable gain.

    The Great Bass Preamp/DI Comparison

Just added a Mozztronics DI to my Bergantino as a pre amp. Berg is a great amp, but the Mozz di adds a beautiful saturated valve tone that I couldn’t get with the DSP. The Bergantino drives are really good, but I’ll be using the slightly overdriven DI as my always on base tone.

Effects loop is pre the DSP. Had this confirmed by Lee at Bergantino. Cheers, Geoffrey

Club Bergantino! Let's See Those Rigs!

Hi. Given that the effects loop is pre DSP, is it the case that there is no difference between running effects before the guitar input and running effects in the loop? Asking because the 4 cable method of connecting devices like the Helix are often used because delay and modulation effects...

    Effects Loop vs. Direct

I have a Bergantino B Amp. The loop is pre-DSP. The only effect I use is a Markbass Compressore and I've tried putting it before the amp and in the effects loops. There is no perceptible difference to me. Which makes sense in an amp that has the loop prior to the tone shaping circuits.

    Fender 60th Anniversary Precision Bass

I've joined the club. Been looking out for one of these for a while. As new condition from Twang Central, a lovely little second hand guitar store in Adelaide. Set up by the owner Terry with La Bella DTFs and strap locks. Massive sound through my Bergantino B Amp.
