    Forgot to mention, you will probably have to slightly reshape the corners of the pickup hole on the scratchplate as a SC sized rail pup is slightly squarer than a standard SC, a bit of sandpaer wrapped round a pencil will do it, its only a small amount needed to be removed....

    Sweet spot, a bit like a G Spot, a bit of a mystery! but yea I guess like a P or a Music Man…….somewhere a bit more harmonically rich than butted up against the neck I'll attempt a video (!)

    500k and a 47 cap, no shielding, no noise, the joy of the Bronco is that all the electrics are on the scratchplate, so it's an easy job to remove the plate flip it on your work surface and go at it.     Epiphone EB-0, the original Sidewinder was very microphonic despite being wax potted, no such issues with the Dimarzio, the position at the end of the neck is a bit of a compromise, but it is what it is.......I would like to try one in a sweet spot.......

    Why the hell am I favoring my cheaper basses??

    I think the quality of instruments that are considered "cheap" are nowadays very good quality and with a decent setup, perhaps a pup change can rival much more expensive products....doesn't really matter whats on the headstock as long as you enjoy it...
