Backbeat Club - For Those Who Silently Rumble

My Bassboard is on a rug which is on a hard tiled floor. It probably makes a similar amount of noise as a HiFi subwoofer, and being a bass frequency it’s something I think anyone else in the house will hear to some degree. I tend to use mine when I don’t have to worry about annoying anyone else...

Backbeat Club - For Those Who Silently Rumble

I have and use both. For home, the Bassboard is great but the backbeat is obviously easier for using anywhere else. I have music going through my Bassboard too, so I get the bass drum feel to lock into. It’s quite immersive like playing in stage whereas the backbeat is more for personal...

Backbeat Club - For Those Who Silently Rumble

Weirdly, you can't! It’s a bit of an oversight. You need to do it directly in the device. I think k you press the big button until the aux flashes and then use the arrows to choose the filter. It tells you when you install the firmware update in the app.

I find the G2 does this much less. Try the new filter modes too because I think these might help.

You need to play with the positioning to find a place that works for you. I find it feels best when it's against my spine. BUT depending on the strap, somethines that location isn't possible. Now, I just use my Slapstrap (remember those? leather straps with a pretty clever velcro length...

I think it does shift the resonant leak upwards the more you use but it’s hard to judge if you have to take the bass off to change it each time. Would have been a perfect way to use the app 🤷🏻‍♂️

Yeah it works but tbh the only thing I’d really like to adjust on the app is the new filter feature but that’s the only thing you can’t adjust.

I just downloaded the app and noticed my firmware was due an update. Now I can apparently change a filter in four steps to adjust the low pass. I can’t see anything written about this and haven’t tried it yet but hopefully that’ll help balance out the response, though I’m happy with it as it is.

I’ve noticed that the pickup in mine is slightly wonky probably due to the pickguard shrinking. So I’ll get a new and keep the original which has a split so it’s kind of delicate anyway.

Short scale, flatwounds, and a pick

I just chop down long scale strings. Works fine. It would be nice if Elixir made short/medium scale strings but unfortunately not.

Th Official Fender Musicmaster Bass Club

I just added a '73 Musicmaster to my collection. This one is all stock, including the two capacitors giving a very dark but rich sound. Presumably I could get an extra scratch plate and pickup + wiring harness and swap them around to taste - I'd just need to attach the bridge earth? I' like to...
