i don’t know much about wiring, this is my first time doing this, but the wires are soldered on to the plate. My roommate who knows more about wiring said the plate was part of the magnet?

I’m completely new to this and was looking at an obsidian solder-less kit. If it doesn’t come with the ground, what do you do if there’s no previous ground wire? Do I need to buy that separately? I’m building a Warmoth from scratch.

Thanks. Is it similar to single coil vs humbucker in something like a fender strat guitar, or am I way off? I would assume more hum with a single coil if so.

That is why I am asking. I wouldn't choose looks over sound, but if they sound the same, why wouldn't I choose the one I think looks better? Doesn't seem that hard to wrap one's head around.

Thanks, that is helpful. I am not sure where to get information to confirm which necks fit, BUT say it does fit. I should still budget money for someone to do fret work, string work, and potentially drill holes. Understood.

My newest plan is to do a Mike Dirnt body with a modern C jazz neck, but I'm having trouble finding the neck pocket size. Does anyone know if it will fit?
