Wow, I read through most of that and I was surprised how scooped it is, especially with the Aural Enhancer. But even with it off, it's still scooped. If I owned the amp I'd definitely try the mod mentioned in that thread. It seems like a lot of people liked bypassing the Enhancer.

That actually came stock with the Genz Benz amp! The amp's eq is a little flatter than a bass amp so it works great for the upright bass.
