    Darkglass Anagram Multi FX Announced

That would be very useful. I've requested block presets from Darkglass. Can't say where it is on their development roadmap. It's tricky to get the balance between easy-to-use, "one knob" blocks and tweak-able ones with multiple functions. We tend to add more features to our plugins so that they...

Thanks for picking up Hologram and Kinetic, glad that Hologram is working well for you. By all means ask me about Kinetic here or at [email protected], glad to help in any way I can. We have manuals and some example settings for our blocks on our website: Cognate Kinetic — Bass Envelope...

Pultec vs Sonic Maximizer vs Xciter.

They all do different things. The Pultec is a passive eq. It allows you to boost and cut the low frequencies at the same time. Sounds counter-productive, but the boost and cut curves are different, so the result is still a low end boost, with a cut in the low mid frequencies. As it's a passive...

    Darkglass Anagram Multi FX Announced

I'm a big fan of the default Anagram UI and think there's a strong argument for using it across all blocks. It makes the UX more predictable and streamlined. However we chose to implement custom UIs on our blocks for several reasons. One was to build brand awareness and association. Also to...

    Anyone used this new Capo?

Pitch shifter latency isn't as easy to measure as it is on headphones, where it's just related to the length of audio buffers. Depending on the algorithm, it may get longer as the pitch drops, or on what notes you play. Modern shifters blend in a part of the dry note's attack to make the effect...

    Anyone used this new Capo?

    Darkglass Anagram Multi FX Announced

I find this annoying with filters, compressors, synths in general - you dial in a sound at home, then on the gig you're playing harder or softer, and the balance of the effects goes out the window. That's why I designed Kinetic with an adaptive threshold - it follows your playing level so the...

    Darkglass Anagram Multi FX Announced

I have some switches like the ones in your post. They are convenient (especially as we are frequently restarting Anagram while developing blocks), but I do find they are not very well shielded and pick up a lot of noise from the nearby USB cable, if plugged in.

There's also our Cognate Kinetic block in Marketplace, an envelope filter designed for everything from slow and smooth to snappy and synth-y. It has intelligent auto sensitivity so you don't have to adjust a sensitivity control when changing technique, volume or even basses. There's a video...

Hi Jonathan, thanks for letting us know about this. Pultrick should not do this - we'll have it fixed in the next few days.

You can use a split and use the gain block on one split with Invert Polarity on to do a null test, to see if it's exactly the same. I like doing this to hear what a pedal is 'adding'

Not technically the same - mono after stereo would normally involve mixing the left and right together and adjusting the volume. But I doubt you would hear the difference with reverb which is diffuse. If it was a stereo delay then you might notice - one side often gets a delayed signal after the...

    Diamond / Lusithand Alma

I have a Diamond and an Alma MKII. The Alma covers a lot of ground and is very flexible. I agree that it has slightly less low end heft and responds more quickly than the Diamond - it sounds more modern. You might not notice unless you had them side by side though. The dry blend is nice, but I...
