    Which Shorty?

Hi, I’ve had a bit of a struggle finding a short scale that works for me, I’ve had the JMJ, Gibson SG, Lakland shortscale hollowbody and the Reverend semi hollow shorty. They were all fun as hell to play, but for one reason or another I could not get a sound that worked for me. I have Sadowsky...

PICK ONE NEW HEAD MESA OR MARK BASS ?

I’ve owned both... get the Mesa, great amps and great customer service. You might want to consider the Mesa D-800 new, it’s an incredible amp.

    Help me downsize!

The $1,600 I spent on the amp one 4-5 years ago has more than paid for itself in terms of massive sound without back injuries.

    Help me downsize!

I've owned a lot of small combo amps over the years but nothing comes close to the sound of the AER Amp One. It's very pricey, but has a huge amount of bass and volume for a 29 LB rig. The tonality is warm and clean but not brittle like so many solid state amps.

I wish I'd discovered Dan a long time ago, in a very short time I was able to find new homes for two of my basses and buy a Glockenlang Blue Sky and this unreal Marleaux Mbass. Never would have happened if not for Dan's help. I like the passive mode on the Mbass as well, in conjunction with the...

    "The Official Marleaux Bass Club"

Just picked up this 2012 Mbass 33/6 from Dan at LAG (He Rocks BTW) It was on display at NAMM 2014. It's by far the best 6 string I've ever laid hands on, perfect balance, playability and unreal tone. It's chambered mahogany and pretty lightweight also. The electronics are DEAD SILENT no matter...

Yes, there is no tweeter but the 8's have a very nice, quick transient high end, especially in an infinite baffle cab. I do have the DNA which does have a tweeter, but I've tried the 4x8 alone and there is no lack of high end at all. I may not be the right guy to judge this but I'm not a big...

I had a similar Bergantino setup for quite a few years and was reasonably happy with it except for the weight. I replaced that with a TC Electronics RH 750 head and a DNA 1x12 + horn cab that is rated at 450W @ 8 ohms, it has a 32hz low end and is VERY loud and weighs only 34 lbs. I had been...
