Are remote rehearsals feasible with current technology?

I'm wondering if OBS would be working for doing live 'gigs', use Jamulus to deliver the audio. I had some issues with Jamulus, because things are made more complicated than they should be. I just finished a video on how-to set up a private server for Jamulus so hope this might help out people...

Replacement (barrel) jack SDGR bass: where to find the right one?

Thanks a lot (also for moving the topic to the correct place). I've contacted them now, and will look for a regular barrel Jack somewhere around here. Thanks for the Stereo/Mono reminder as well

Replacement (barrel) jack SDGR bass: where to find the right one?

Hi all, I'm in the process of fixing up my bass to sell it for a regular P-style bass in a less purple color. The bass itself is really great, but I've been having some issues with the jack and found that this is an Ibanez/SDGR barrel jack thing. I'm trying to find a correct replacement, but...

    Virtual Band Practice ?

Even 40$ a month would be cheaper than renting a rehearsal room in these times. If they can arrange a private server just for you, I think you have a fine business plan

    Virtual Band Practice ?

Glad to hear! I'm really curious how the Jamkazam servers would hold up if more bands would do this. Did you have any issues with latency, or audio cutting away? Did anyone of you try using plugins for vocal enhancement?

    Virtual Band Practice ?

Don't know which video's you mean, but if it is wat I think it is, then it's all separately recorded in a DAW. One person sends a sketch track to everyone. All players record their own takes with a camera and send them back. Next, put all audio tracks together, mix them and post them on FB/YT/IG

    Virtual Band Practice ?

I did some research too, over the past 4 weeks about these software types. I came to the conclusion that everyone needs fast internet, an audio interface (lower latency and noise issues), preferably wired internet, and the ultimate way is a private server. Since there are not a lot of people...

Longtime lurker guitarist/bassist joining the bass side of life!

Yea, it such a tight squeeze though, can't get any of my tools in there. I think the jack might be a bit rusty too, making it difficult to tighten the washer

    Virtual Band Practice ?

Real-time virtual band practice might be tough, but maybe consider building tracks in one DAW, sharing files in a drive or Dropbox (if you folks can agree on one cloud service :P) Also, maybe an online DAW can be a solution, like Soundation or (I think) Bandlab

Longtime lurker guitarist/bassist joining the bass side of life!

Hi everyone! I'm Sander from Utrecht, the Netherlands. Although I'm mostly a guitarist, I've encountered Talkbass numerous times. As I've been signing up for more forums lately, Talkbass was one I definitely had to sign up for! My main and only bass is a SDGR/Ibanez SR1000E in Purple Neon...
