    "Official" Genz Benz club V2

Thanks 60bass. Just for the record, this company has been excellent! Replaced it once just after buying (one output was dead - A I think). They quickly sent out a replacement with a call tag, I just opened the box took out the new and pout in the old and back it went. I didn't miss a beat...

Hey anyone else have this problem? I got a brand new ShuttleMax 1200 a few years ago. It has mostly been in my dry (socal) garage/studio. I wanted to start using it on gigs again but, the master, channel volume and some of the other pots have become very VERY, noisy. Loud cracks when...

The Official Medium Scale Bass Club

I got into the medium scale due to a pinched nerve in my neck. I used to have a G&L (boat anchor) SOUNDED FENOM but, killed my neck. I even tried to strap it around my waist, then i drilled a hole in the body, mounted it to a Slingerland cymbal stand. That was kinda cool for a while. Back in...

    Kubicki club?

Anyone have, or know where to get, a schematic for the electronics of a pre Fender 97" 18 volt? Please don't reply with the obvious.... "ask Phil."

Yea, I see your point. I looked at my set up and the saddles in the posted pictures do look high compared to mine. Not sure why they are that high. If this is a case of "bad set up" I'd have to say, it's rare.

You know what always annoys me?

I just re-read this... Did you really mean to say you start at 100 and end up at 120 ??? I'm not knocking your style or choices but, that's a huge increase. That's going from Andante to Allegro in one song. I don't know of any pieces with that kind of change. Unless your writing movie...

You know what always annoys me?

I've come to the conclusion, I will sit down with the band with the shaky drummer and explain in plain English... A group of musicians playing together have certain expectations. 1. Everyone plays in the same key. 2. Everyone starts and ends the songs together. 3. Everyone plays at the SAME...

    I just quit my band

I like what Stumbo illustrated. What he is describing is a little principle that's been around since the 30's (that I know of). I heard it from my dad. He knew guys from the 30's and 40's. The Triangle of Truth. A good situation has three sides: 1. Fun 2. Knowledge 3. Money 1. It has...

You know what always annoys me?

I totally agree! Music should breath, if the band plays a verse and rolls up slightly to exaggerate the chorus, or the song moves into a pumping solo section, perfect. If all are in agreement, it will sound great. But, if the drummer (as one of my current drummer does) starts at 115 but ends...

    Kubicki club?

I have always adhered to the rule "it's not the instrument, it's the player." But, I have to say... When I got my ExFactor, I instantly became a better player. Could be just in my mind but, I don't think so. LOL

    Kubicki club?

I have to express my opinion here. I've have had several occasions to speak and deal with Phil before and after I bought my bass. He is a stand up guy, honest and more than willing to help pre AND post sales. If there is problem with a product, he WILL make it right - Period! I'm...

Sirmoog, An afterthought... If the bass was set up correctly from the factory, only the neck could have changed. The saddles should still be correct. Once you re-adjust the neck, it should return to being a great player. If you change string thickness, you will have to re-set the intonation.
