    Spector NS2 string height adjustment

Thank you! I did have it professionally set up and it came out great. I thought that the nut needed to be filed down a bit (it's brass) and I didn't want to mess with that.

New MM Stingray Special 4HH failure

In my case, possibly it's the crappy design which makes the boxes really difficult to open and which puts strain on the flimsy box.

I'm getting a free one so I'll put that in- I'll be more careful and see what happens!

New MM Stingray Special 4HH failure

I don't even know how to get the battery box open well. The end where you're supposed to put your fingernail in is so flimsy it broke.

Battery box contact with what? Yep that was it thanks! Getting a new battery box in the mail soon.

New MM Stingray Special 4HH failure

Yep, it really happened. Plugged it in after about a month(working on my recently acquired Spector NS2) and nothing. No sound. New batteries and cord/amp check still nothing. I called MM and they said it is likely the battery box or the jack. They are sending me these first to try. Anyone...

    Spector NS2 string height adjustment

Yep, but not really sure I get it from what you sent- the translation is not so good. I think it's saying that if you pluck the string between the bridge and adjustment block and it vibrates, change the angle?

    Spector NS2 string height adjustment

Hi there, I just got an NS2 and am going through it. It's coming out great. I didn't know how the bridge worked until I found the allen screw on the side of the bridge. I was perplexed but now get it. Anyway, I have the truss rod adjusted and need to get the string height adjusted. Each...

    Going through an NS-2

So no problem polishing the fretboard lightly with the steel wool? I've always avoided that.

    Going through an NS-2

The nut at the headstock is quite tarnished/corroded. I was thinking of pulling out the Dremel for that. I'm sure I probably have something in my kit to polish it up. I have found that Simichrome is the best metal polish I have ever used, maybe I'll start with that first.

Totally OK with taking it apart. I'll send pics!

    Going through an NS-2

I was planning on using tape on the frets, typically I use painters tape. Seems to work well. Thanks for the warning about the steel wool, I did know about that problem and will cover the pick ups with tape too. Still wondering if it will affect the value of I do these things?
