Spector NS2 string height adjustment

Hi there,
I just got an NS2 and am going through it. It's coming out great.

I didn't know how the bridge worked until I found the allen screw on the side of the bridge. I was perplexed but now get it.

Anyway, I have the truss rod adjusted and need to get the string height adjusted. Each string has two allen screws to set up- should both of those be equal in height?

Yep, but not really sure I get it from what you sent- the translation is not so good. I think it's saying that if you pluck the string between the bridge and adjustment block and it vibrates, change the angle?

Yeah. I’m not an owner so don’t know a lot about these. More curious than anything else. I was hoping actual NS2 owners would have gotten here by now.

I think he’s saying you want to eliminate as much vibration possible behind the saddles. Generally, the side to side profile needs to be flat. In addition, it seems these bridges need to be canted back to help with reducing those vibrations. Interesting.

As I remember things, the saddle blocks should be tilted slightly towards the anchor / ball-ends as opposed to being level.

I'm probably late. No. The saddles need to be leaning slightly back (front higher).

Thank you! I did have it professionally set up and it came out great. I thought that the nut needed to be filed down a bit (it's brass) and I didn't want to mess with that.

My USA custom NS2 Setup from the Factory was NOT good Build Date 8/4/2022. It didn't even match the Spector specifications for the E and A. The bridge was 'unlocked' as well. I had to do it all myself. The break angle on the bridge saddles was good though. I suspect someone only made it 1/2 through setup before they were distracted or something. They simply didn't finish the setup.


The adjustable brass nut Warwick uses should be standard on high end basses. That thing is really innovative and can really help a player get the 'feel' they are looking for.
