i love bartolini’ sound. Just don’t know if a bartolini preamp could match with original yamaha’s pickups. I had once , installed in an old 6 string made by a local luthier and simply sounds great with bartolini candybar too

I asked yamaha if it was possible to buy the original pre for my trb. nope…that’s why i’m asking you. Think it’s better to try the original one preamp before testing others, if possible.

This is an interesting point of view. The fact is that i played many years ago a trb with original on board preamp and i was really impressed with the sound. That’s what i was searching for This is my personal opinion. thank you for your attention.
