It;s not the tubes. I've changed both and the problem still occurs. I will check the effects loop switch and the effect loop jacks, as well as the passive input jack. I am sure mesa has heard of this problem and the solution probably is the same, but they won't tell you exactly on the phone...

This is an old thread, but users should know that the fan on the Mpulse 600 is always on. The unit does not have thermal overload protection per se. This was confirmed by Mesa techs

Yeah, I spent "$699 on a used Mesa M-Pulse 600 and couldn't be happier (well, maybe from an M9 Carbine), but others have great ideas e.g. Look at pedal/preamp offerings from Tech 21 and Sansamp.
