Anyone Else Really Tired of Adele?

Madonna's scene is so different from Adel's, it's not apples to apples. Adel is all about nice sounding songs. Madonna, OTOH, is about the dance scene. When you look like it as such, there's just as much art & craft, but the music is just a part.

Yes. Tired. Bring on the next *white chick w/soul, please*

When I first started hearing her I thought she had a pretty interesting voice, catchy tunes, etc.

Now though she's freaking EVERYWHERE. Enough already.

I've never liked her music much... it doesn't interest me in the slightest-I have just heard it all sooo many times before.
But so what...
Noone is forcing me to listen to her , so all's good and for the rare occasion I'm exposed to it through neighbors etc I simply put My headphones on.

Good on her for making it regardless.

You may like the Adele package you've been sold but it is a calculated package nonetheless and while she's talented she's nothing special. There's an Adele in every big city.
While I agree that 'The Machine' is needed in order to reach a certain level of success, I'm not convinced that "there's an Adele in every big city." It's a catchy and convenient thing to say, but I'm not convinced. Very, very few people can do music really, really well, and she's one of them, IMO.

When she won all those awards my wife and I were watching it on TV and I was like "who the hell is this no talent fat broad wasting our time? - I've never heard of her"

My wife and friends were stunned that I hadn't a clue who she was. I don't like her music either. Perhaps if she were a gorgeous lil' hotty romping around in a nice outfit she would have sounded much better.

I don't listen to program music very often, so I am insulated from stuff like this (and unfortunately I miss a lot of stuff that I might enjoy too).

and HEY, nothing against fat/big folks. I'm one too: 6'2" and 270lbs. but it don't matter! I'm the bassist! :bassist:

and yet weeks ago I got flamed for pointing out terms like "no talent". shame on you :scowl:

This is a funny forum sometimes. We all dislike the kiddie pop junk that's popular right now, and we pine away for someone who has a band with real instruments and can sing without autotune. Then she shows up and we don't like her because she's played on the radio too much? Or because she is influenced by singers from the 60's and 70's? Seems weird to me, I guess.
