hey im about to buy an ampeg head but im wondering if it will work with a cerwin vega concert speaker i have in my garage? will it sound good ? or id better buy a combo?

hey !! i have an ampeg ba 300 WITH A 115 SPEAKER :D but i was just wondering if i can plug an ampeg cab to the combo i already have... so i can get 215 speakers or sth like that, i know my amp has a high volume but at that high volume it makes a lot of rattle noice :S may that be a solcion ?? :D
