    Is this a standard or a special american P bass?

    hi, guitar store in town are selling this atm for abt €1000. They say it's a standard but I'm not too sure. It's a string-through body affair, but the bridge looks like a standard/non-high mass. Also, the tone knob is like i've not seen before on a P - anyone got any ideas? Thanks...

    Hi, wondering is it a 'done thing' to tune a standard 4 string bass to BEAD, from EADG? Can't see why not, but wondering if there are things to consider before trying it. Thanks
