BG250 died - Orange vs Laney

Just out of curiosity, do you have any complaints to do on the laney, in terms of tone, EQ and speaker response?

BG250 died - Orange vs Laney

I suppose so, but do you reckon that it will do alright if connected to PA on medium gigs or alone at pub ones?

BG250 died - Orange vs Laney

Greetings fellow bassists! :) You may remember me from my previous 2 threads where I was asking for your opinion on a bass combo. So, even though I was a bit doubtful, I followed the general opinion and bought a TC Electronic BG250. Now, the problem is that everything went exactly the wrong...

    H&K Basskick 200?

And how are the two compared on the versatility and reliability part? One of the turn-offs that I find on the BG250 is the fact that the enclosure is extremely fragile, even though I'm careful. And I doubtful of the amp's versatility for having only 3 eq knobs. Please correct me if I'm wrong...

    H&K Basskick 200?

Greetings fellow bassists.:) I am seeking for some help to determine what is "the right bass combo" for someone that is interested in playing classic and progressive rock and a bit of jazz at times. A after a poll that I'd set previously I came to the conclusion that the majority prefered the...

    Combo Amp dilemma

I am not so concerned about the versatility of the amp since I'll get a Sansamp Bass Driver DI when I'll be able. But as long as the speaker has a good tonal range, it's reliable as a whole, etc. It's perfect! I'll be sure to "burn it in", we can't ever be too careful... Once again, thank you...

    Combo Amp dilemma

Sorry about that. I've written my location now. It is truly intriguing how many people support the TCs, I guess that I can't go wrong with one if it has warranty. Thank you for all of the input.

    Combo Amp dilemma

I see that the TC BG250 has a lot of good reviews; does it have any flaws at all? I have read about some good things about Carvins as well but as far as I'm concerned, they don't sell these in Europe Those on the pole were the initial choices but I am open to new ones.

    Combo Amp dilemma

Well, to travel 30 miles, from here to Lisbon I'd probably spend quite a lot of money on buses, train and subways, something that I can't afford at the moment. In these last 3 months I must have searched from one corner of the internet to the other when it comes to reviews so, this is my last...

    Combo Amp dilemma

It appears that, suddenly, the Gallien-Krueger entered the race and is winning... Any opinions on the rest of the combos that i mentioned earlier?

    Combo Amp dilemma

The only problem is that I have no way to try the MB115 (that is why I'm relying on your opinions) and the Ampegs that you mentioned are way out of my price range.

    Combo Amp dilemma

Thank you for the reply. I tried a GK MB112 and I had that impression of the metallic sound, but by reading those reviews that it had, might have influenced that opinion :hmm: And the only store that I can reach without having to travel some 20-30 miles, doesn't really have more than an old...

    Combo Amp dilemma

I'd like to start by saying greetings to all of you fellow bassists. I have found myself in a "amplifier dilemma", where I can't really find which amp is right, due to not being able to try any of them out in stores :hmm:, so I'm counting on some opinions to finally get rid of my first and not...
