We use a Fostex (i think) 16 ch digital hard disk recorder. Mic everthing straight to unit. Everything unity gain so what we hear in stage monitors is exactly what is going to disk. Go home, dump it to an mp3 file and there you have it. Nothing complicated. Just decent mics, correct gain...

Any suggestions on what repair tools, tubes, etc. i need to keep on hand? This is my first tube amp and I'm really green. I haven't even thought about tearing into this thing yet. But I'm assuming that I should bias the tubes at least? And probably have a pair on hand in case of emergency...
