Yeah, I'd use a PP2+ for a whole pedalboard but a one spot should be fine if just using this standalone for practice or for gigging into a backline or PA. The battery is toast pretty quickly but not surprising compared to other stuff I've tried.

I just had to replace the battery already after getting the squeal. I haven't used it that much and knew the battery would not last long. Just using it through PA, with XLR into the mixer and QSC series speakers. I'd definitely recommend using a power supply.

I just messed with mine using a P-bass with overwound Lollars, going from the XLR out into my mixer, then through 2 QSC K12's and a K10. Pretty cool. I was getting all kinds of great sounds. The YT vids are ok but the sound is much better in-person when using it. Sounds great on the EQ side...

I got mine today. Wow, that was quick. Can't wait to try it out in the studio tomorrow.

Took the plunge and ordered it. Should be getting it on Monday supposedly. Can't wait.

I was considering the VTbass DI but this has really piqued my interest. Too bad it already looks like it's sold out for now.

Thanks guys. This helps. I'm not familiar with string mutes and tried doing a search on them. I imagine they dampen the strings a bit when plucked and if so, wouldn't they impact sustain? Is this something that can be added to a P-bass? :confused:

Is it that simple? I seem to not get that boom, so I'm wondering if that's from a pedal or just cranking it up?
