The corect way to play bass

Agreed. That was my original point as well. Since the OP has identified her gender, I think I have an analogy. As a woman, would you show up to a friend's wedding in a wedding gown and try to be the center of attention? It's unthinkable. It's perhaps an exaggeration of the situation...

Hobby (amateur) bands with good music?

That's fine if you don't mind pursuing music as a hobby. Most of those bands put all of their proceeds into "the band" so they can "make it big", which means you'll be playing for free as a volunteer. The songwriter of the group probably doesn't want to share that capacity, so you'll never see...

    Anyone here a good guitarist?

I'm sure it was a typo, as that's an A7. Amaj7 would have one note different: G---1 (G#)

    Anyone here a good guitarist?

It's the same chord, but a different voicing.

    Anyone here a good guitarist?

First off, I learned guitar when I was 9 and moved over to bass at 11. I've also played trombone and tuba in the school bands/orchestra, some percussion, and lately picked up mandolin and am strengthening my keyboard technique. On guitar I'm not a shredder, I prefer the bluesy style Bard2dbone...
