Someone I know recommended the mark bass. I haven't had a chance to check it out yet. Any recordings you can share?

Ampeg B15N Tone but Modern Amp?

I heard this kit compared to the ampeg pf-20 model on youtube here: and didn't think that the ampeg pf model had any of the same juice that the ampeg has. I thought the trinity sounded right on. I was just hoping to not have to put it together!

Ampeg B15N Tone but Modern Amp?

Hello- Question: Any modern amps capture that B15N tone and are good for recording in the studio? I am in the market for buying a bass amp for the studio. I love the B15N tone, but was hoping that I could buy something that was made in more recent years since these amps are getting older, and...

    Fender P Bass Pickup Upgrade

Ok, so I bought some Nordstrand NP4 pickup, just got them in and have been fooling around with them for about an hour and they are just TOO SMOOTH. I miss the slight grit that the Duncan's imparted. It gave more of a richness to the tone that didn't necessarily sound good soloed, but sounded...

    Fender P Bass Pickup Upgrade

Me too! I love the P Bass tone for what I'm doing. I appreciate the input! Maybe I'll have to take it to a tech and have them fool with it for me.

    Fender P Bass Pickup Upgrade

Thanks for the idea. I ran across those last night! What kind of balance do they have? What you described sounds pretty solid. I also ran across the Nordstrand NP4 and those really made my ears perk up. How would you say they compare?

    Fender P Bass Pickup Upgrade

Thanks for the suggestion. I fooled with it for a little while, but regardless of the height, if it's not all the way to the treble side, it sounds muddy and undefined. It's like when I get 1/5 a turn away from the full treble side of the tone nob, it immediately sounds like someone put 2 thick...

    Fender P Bass Pickup Upgrade

I bought a Fender P Bass for my studio. Someone put Seymour Duncan pickups in it. I'm not a fan of the bass side of the tone nob because it is too muddy, more so than other basses I have recorded, so I have decided that I want to upgrade the pickup ASAP. Use: I need it for the studio, so it has...
