Ive tried a lot of router manufacturers, I ran a solid surfacing fabrication training school, that stuff is hard, kills a TC saw blade in a 10 yards of cutting. The only brand I would buy was Dimar, they are made in Israel I think. They go though hard maple like butter. Plus the best laid out...

well done, better than factory. My main gig bass is a SRX750, great wood, great bass, but the finish has always bugged me. it looks like it was shipped before final finish was applied, lots of open grain.

Thanks. The tone and sustain were a great improvement, I was expecting some, but not as much as I got, everyone commented on how round the tone was from high treble to warm bass. Good wood does make a difference in a solid body, well in this case.

The finished article. oh the neck also needed the finger board to be re finished as there were some dings. a re-fret and a new top nut due to some home filling at some time in its past.

next was headstock from the donor neck, I didn't see why Washburn should get the credit for my body, so out with the jigsaw, one parker style head stock. First trial neck fit, post paint. It was a good friction fit, I had to tap it out of the pocket with a rubber mallet.

once cured...about ten days. I hand sanded from 220 grit through each grit paper up to 2000grit, all wet sanding. I then hand polished with rubbing compound. The finish is still hazy at this point but good enough to highlight any issues.

another three clear coats then a solid black coat to the back and sides.
