    Pignose Replacement Batteries

I took one of mine into Batteries Plus and they matched it. A pair of them were far cheaper than Pignose and they've held up great for nearly 2 years now.

Fender - what’s happened to the Lefty Models???

It sucks.. I'm a lefty and it's a limited market. 10%-12% is about right. I'd love to get a lefty Hofner ignition Club Bass.. but, no. (thankfully I do have their LH HIBB violin bass) However.. my daughter and grandson are also lefties. I've given my daughter an inexpensive acoustic/electric...

Purely for cosmetic reasons.. I won't actually get them.. maybe just a light coat of black spray paint.. lol

After removing the cream colored pick guard and switch ring.. Hmmm. Anyone used one of these? (also available in Cream & White, open or hidden poles) Special J.Casady. -Jeez.. then I'll be looking at the Hipshot bridge in black.. then what? Black keys? lol

I was afraid of trying any kind of fluids.. a little patience was a safe bet. All is well. Thanks for pushing me in the direction I wanted to go. Cheers!

Switch ring removed, a tiny black flat head brad filled the one pick guard screw hole perfectly.

To. guard or not to guard, that is the question?

I went for it.. after prying it off there was considerable adhesive residue. But, 30 minutes with a slightly soapy soft cloth and I coaxed it off without marring the finish. I got all the way up to nervous there for a bit. Actually found a tiny black flat head brad that filled the hole perfectly

Excellent information, thanks. I hadn't looked into it and thought it might have been applied with adhesive.. "Off with it's head!"

Any issues with removing the switch ring affecting the finish? I'm of half a mind to just remove it and leave it bare. I've considered painting the pickup bezel black (wish something could be done with the pup) The gold knobs don't bother me, they practically disappear. Given that I've strung it...

One very tiny hole right up near the neck. I'm going to get a chrome flat head screw to fill it.. the one used for the pick guard is a pan head and won't sit quite as flush.
