I just recently got a 5 string and i am hoping to move to 6 later on, but is there a way to play 4, 5, and 6 string basses and still be good at playing all of them even though they are ver different?

What does everybody think of 5 and 6 string basses? I'm getting a lot of flak from my band about it but I want to start playing a 5 string real soon.

Would you rather get a Spector Legend 5 string or go with a Cort Curbow 5 string? Discuss...

When I was tuning up today, i noticed that my A note on the E string is sharp, while the E string itself along with all the other notes are in perfect tune while that one is sharp. This is on my Rickenbacker by the way. Does anyone know why this is happening? :confused:

Has anyone here played through a Hartke VX3500 Combo (the combo amp with 4 speakers and the 350 watt head) ? I'm thinking of saving up for it but I'm not sure how the four 10 inch speakers would hold up considering the peavy stack I have now has distortion every time i play an E note. Any...
