Ok, so how do you keep other musicians

In case the drummer normally has good timing but occasionally speeds up I use eye-contact and body gestures to keep synchronized with him. You can see some examples of how we do it in the video I posted to my friend’s blog: Link Removed (time references are noted in the lesson text – bullet No...

    Locking in with a drummer

I find it most challenging to keep the lock with the drummer and rest of the band when moving to the next part of a song (e.g. from verse to chorus). I recently realized that I use eye-contact and body gestures to keep synchronized. I watched a video recording of our rehearsal and noticed that...

    Strange on-board preamp noise

Thanks for the replays! It turned out the empty battery caused the noise after all. It was my first guess too, so I changed it but apparently the one I carried as a backup in the bass case was also empty. After your replays I changed it for a brand new battery just in case and the noise is gone :)

    Strange on-board preamp noise

I have a Yamaha TRB-10005 gone bad: it makes a funny squealing noise. When I plug it in the noise starts at a very high frequency and very quietly. With time the frequency of the squeal decreases and it becomes louder. The noise is almost as loud as the sound of strings played. Also the normal...

    TC Electronic RH450, RS210, RS212 Review Thread (Part V)

I enjoyed playing at an outdoor gig (bikers weekend) using RH450 and RS210 on Saturday. I connected the fx-out form RH450 to fx-in on the Eden Nemesis RS210 320W combo (4 Ohm, so I had to use the Nemesis's power-amp section via fx connection). I usually use TC RS112 but this time I had some...

    Warwick Corvette upgrade

I am thinking about upgrading my 5 string Warwick Corvette standard that comes with MEC Dynamic Correction J/J pickups and MEC active 2-band electronics. What I like about it in order of importance is: + the growly Warwick tone, + potentiometers click (you can feel it) when they are in the...

    TC Electronic RH450, RS210, RS212 Review Thread (Part V)

I decided to put some rubber feet on my RS112 and RS210. At first I put the feet on the top of RS210 (if it stands vertically) so that when used stacked with RS112 beneath it the sides of cabinets would touch (without the feet in between) and when used solo I would turn it upside down and put it...
