Far from a perfect solution but I used a black Sharpie to fill in some exposed bits. Took a couple of applications, good enough result except under close scrutiny. The paint code for the headstock would be very useful!

What a great find! It’s lovely and looks in great shape. The all black pickguard gives it a real mean look!!
