Far from a perfect solution but I used a black Sharpie to fill in some exposed bits.
Took a couple of applications, good enough result except under close scrutiny.
The paint code for the headstock would be very useful!

I tried the Sharpie route but found furniture scratch paint pens/markers were a closer match and more durable.

I might eventually strip the back of the neck and the whole headstock, re-do the headstock lettering in black, and clear coat.

Got these by accident - they were supposed to be silver…..

Good to know, maybe I'll give that a try. I've tried Sharpie before on other instruments with meh results.

I use Sharpie for all my black touch ups. Works perfectly fine for me.
I do really like that black SUB 5!

Off eBay - seller “bobs_decals”.
If it’s a Sub5 you need them for you can have these ones FOC plus I have spare “made in SLO” decals too for the backside if you want them.

Yeah it's a common trick used by people selling SUBs to make not look so bad

Until recently I thought the addition of the word “bass” on the headstock differentiated between the passive and active models, the guys here set me straight!

A finger ramp, something to put next to the single bridge pickup to make playing more comfortable when not using a pick
