I don't think I'll never change pick up/electr. on the SUB usa
Me too I prefere satin necks instead of painted those,so I put an EB stingray neck on it
but the sound is simply perfect IMO
and closer to my pre eb 79 than the 95 stingray

If I want to change the pickguard on mine, any stingray pickguard works right? Looking to get a black or black pearloid. Maybe tort to add some tort Mojo lol.

Absolutely. I ordered a generic, Chinese made $10 guard off ebay and it fit perfectly.

Managed to get my US SUB back I had to sell over year ago? Noticed serial matched the one,I managed to get back from TBer on here. It was the passive model,which I think is hard to find,anymore. Should have it back in the barn,later this week? Think FedEx is being bombarded this past week. Ordered a Gator case,for my SBMM short scale bass,and it took from Thursday until today Tuesday to come less than 100 miles,from Fort Wayne,Indiana,to Piqua,Ohio.

My pickup is a little microphonic. I think it had a hard life before I got it. Has anyone tried a "modern" covered pickup like the classic Bart or similar models by Delano or Aguilar (or even the Lace MoW) in their passive SUB? I guess I am looking for a slightly more laid back high end.

Bart Classics are certainly nudged to the darker/deeper spectrum. I don't have any experience with the other MM pickups.

And here it is. 2006 Cinnamon USA SUB. It's in incredible condition. One little ping near the volume knob. May need to have my tech have a look at it. Having a little trouble getting the action where I want it.

To follow up on the above post, I think I have a couple of high frets. Will need a better hand than mine to address. Also, the truss rod, while nicely responsive to adjustment, is a little hard to turn in both directions. I'm assuming these have single action rods. Any suggestions on how to best tackle this? Thanks.

Here are the triplets!
The one in the middle is box fresh, been in it’s shipping box after a shop closure for 15 years.
The one on the right is almost as mint, an absolute beauty too.
Lefty is the most played and has a few marks but still in great shape - heading for a setup and fret dress soon.
Not pictured yet is my Sub5 which is the opposite of these three - I bought it “refinished” and “upgraded” - each to their own but it’s been destroyed IMHO.
Going to bring it back to as near stock as I can
Sorry for gushing. I really love these basses over many much more expensive ones I’ve owned!
