I think a lot of people were afraid that if the sued this scammer, they would never get their basses... IMO they should have gone to court and got a judgment against him, assets or no. That judgment could have been useful in making his life hell. No end of the fun that a few righteously pissed...

You are confusing lows with low mids. The P is a midrange machine. The J has lots of lows but can lack mids. First decide what you want, then choose the bass to do it.

You wanted to upgrade from the Squier that you use when you want passive pickups. So why buy another active? I get it. Any excuse to buy another bass is a good one. Get a passive P bass. Don't think about it. Just do it.
