Fender AP II P-Bass pickup blue ink on poles

I don’t have a way to test. Again, it’s no big deal. I’m glad to know it may be a factory marking to make sure the correct magnets go in the right place.

    Installing P-bass pickup/bridge covers

Redirecting an old thread... my AVRI ‘62 P Bass came with holes for the pickup cover already drilled. In fact, the thin metal shield sandwiched between the pickguard and body have corresponding holes for the pickup cover screws too. But, there are no holes for the ashtray/bridge cover. Never...

Fender AP II P-Bass pickup blue ink on poles

Recently got a Fender American Professional II Precision Bass Olympic White w rosewood board. Very good playing and sounding bass. And gorgeous aesthetics. I noticed that my pickup (the portion under the D and G strings) has blue ink dots on the pole pieces. Not a big deal at all, but I’ve not...

The official "Show your basses" thread part 19!

Recently joined the forum. Here are my babies: 2021 Am Pro II P-Bass, ‘62 AVRI P-Bass. Question: I’ve included a photo of the D-G half of the pickup on my AP II P-Bass. Have any of you seen blue spots like this on the pole pieces?

Fender American Professional II or Elite/Ultra Precision?

Bridge and sales are well aligned. Strings are lined up well between the pickup pole pieces and the string alignment and spacing is great at the highest frets. But, at the nut, the strings are skewed toward the G string side. The A string is over the edge of the 3rd fret fretboard dot. Also...

    Fender Rumble Club

Thinking my Rumble 200c looks better with the newer style logo. Thanks for your encouragement. Looked good with no logo too, but this just puts the icing on the cake.

Fender American Professional II or Elite/Ultra Precision?

Mine too. Saddles bottomed out to get the action low enough for my taste. Since my NBD post, I’ve also noticed the nut is slightly off-center with the G string slot much closer to the fretboard edge and the E string slot being much further from the fretboard edge. That, and there is a noticeable...

    Fender Rumble Club

I like that logo better too. I bought the older style to match what was standard on the Rumble. But I do prefer the newer logo (introduced with the blackface era amps). Now you’ve got me second guessing myself.

NAD! Fender Rumble 200 Really enjoying this amp so far. Can be thumpy and punchy. Really versatile. And I love how not heavy it is. I put a metal logo on it to replace the flimsy plastic one it came with. I especially like the Aux input. I use my Esinkin Bluetooth receiver to cast songs and...

Fender American Professional II or Elite/Ultra Precision?

First post! I just got my Am Pro II P-Bass (Olympic White, RW board) last week and it arrived with the highest action I’ve ever seen on a new bass. I had to adjust the truss rod, lower the saddles significantly, lower the pickup significantly and adjust the intonation massively. After these...
