Fender Rumble Club

did you notice the recent "hartke thread?" --- there were a few 'haters', but i've never had an issue with hartke stuff --- which was the general consensus in that thread, i think: hartke is good and reliable.

:wideyed: that's sayin' somethin'!
I have a little Hartke B60 that I keep at church on a small Harbor Freight 4-wheel dolly. If it wasn’t a 60 pound MDF-housed brick of an amp, I would love it to death. Easiest bass amp to dial in I’ve ever owned; set all the EQ knobs to flat, then turn the shape control slowly until it sounds good. Worked in every room, with any bass I used. Line out worked well, too. Just too heavy to carry out, with a poorly designed handle. Rumble 40 retired it for Church use for me… but guest bassists really like it.

LOL!! GP, I hope you’ve worn that on a gig! :roflmao:
Yes, Halloween with the concert band, along with my "Spaceballs, The Hat" and now "Spaceballs, The Face Mask".

I have a Hartke HS1200 combo (? It’s downstairs and I’m too lazy to check if that is the model) I got at a yard sale for $20. Previous owner did not know what screws were, but knew a screwdriver could pry that head out of the cab...smh. I cleaned it up, bent the face plate back to near normal, deoxit to the pots, and the scratchies are gone. I really like the sound out of that 12” speaker. Still trying to find that sound on my R500c.

Hi all,

I actually started out on a Rumble 40 but swapped it out for a Studio 40 a few months ago.
Today I am getting a warranty replacement for the Studio, as there are a few very odd things wrong with it.
It SOMETIMES connects to the app, but only when it feels like, no rhyme or reason to it.
Also have a lot of static/distorted sounds on some of the sims via the speaker, but not via the XLR out to my DI or the headphones out.
Spent a lot of time with Fender on the phone a while back and they concluded it was a dud.
Took a while to get the replacement but hoping it cleans up the issues so i can enjoy all the parts of this amp.

Odd though as they said they rarely have any issues with these (not sure I believe that). Anyone else have any issues?

Got the warranty replacement and it works properly.
So, get this, Fender does not want you to return the defective one.
I have do ‘destroy’ it and take pictures of it destroyed so that the shop I bought it from, Empire Music, gets their credit for the warranty replacement amp. Seems like a waste to me, but, will be fun to aim my sledgehammer at it.

Apparently, destroying the elecronics is sufficient, (then you still have a tuned speaker cab)! Like this guy did.

To get my neck replaced I had to saw the old headstock off and send in a picture. Made a great wall decoration.

Unfortunately the majority of companies just toss the stuff they can't turn around and resell without any effort. It's incredibly wasteful but being wasteful is free, actually having to recycle or repair things is not. Until that changes that's just how things will be.

I agree with G-Dog. Break the electronics and turn it into a cab.:bassist:

I just got my warranty replacement for my Rumble 200 a week or two ago. But, I had to send the bad one back to Fender. They paid the shipping and since they had no Rumble 200s in stock, they sent me a check for the original purchase price. I would have rather received a replacement amp straight from Fender. So I ordered a new one from Musician's Friend. A couple of days later, I got a call from Guitar Center saying that they were ready to fulfill my order from Musician's Friend, but they only had a floor model and could ship it to me but they didn't have the original box. I just drove over there and picked it up. New amp works great!

I’d have to shoot it or blow it up.

that said, I HATE disposable products like this.

It isn’t really the product that’s disposable. It would be easy enough for Fender to take it back and swap the electronics. The question is one of cost. As long as it’s cheaper to throw something away and replace it than repair it, this wasteful and environmentally harmful practice will continue.
