Just skimmed thru these, and am amazed to see no one has mentioned Robert Trujilo. His work in Infectious Grooves and Suicidal is just brilliant.

Just stumbled across Evan Brewers album "Alone", and I'm lovin every minute of it. I would like to find other albums or artists similar to him. I've tried Jaco, Victor and all the obvious ones, and although they are AMAZING bassists, i'm just not a big fan of the actual music that goes along...
