Similar artists like Evan Brewer?

Just stumbled across Evan Brewers album "Alone", and I'm lovin every minute of it. I would like to find other albums or artists similar to him. I've tried Jaco, Victor and all the obvious ones, and although they are AMAZING bassists, i'm just not a big fan of the actual music that goes along with it. I'm not sure if that makes sense, but if anyone understands where i'm coming from, throw me a few ideas please. Thanks

Jonas Hellborg and Julie Slick come to mind, you should check them out, they are a bit more "rock"...
