I'm making the switch to 12-fret acoustics due to some wrist issues (aging!). Do you think this 33" scale would make some similar difference in feel or ease of playing compared to a 34" or 35" bass? I'm not quite ready to quit playing a full-size bass and go really short-scale small-size.

This one is just active. They added the active/passive option around 2010. I have one of those too, but it has a jazz pickup in the bridge instead of the humbucker.

This is a very clean 2004 Fender American Standard Precision Bass. Stock electronics had the S-1 switching, which I found pointless on a P-bass. Replaced the stock pickup with a new Fender Pure Vintage '63 Pickup, and replaced the pots/wiring with a 509 custom P-bass wiring kit I bought new on...

Just pulled these out of my 2004 Fender American Precision Bass. There are no issues; I just decided to install vintage pups and custom wiring. S-1 pot/switch works fine (no sticking). All you have to do is install and solder the grounds. $100 shipped to the CONUS.
