Despite that, they sound flat and non-resonant. I don't know if that's just the strings or the fact that they're getting too old.

I use Thomastik Belcanto strings (orchestral), and I've had them on for about a year and a half. At this point, I can't tell if the strings are dead or not, since they still produce a decent sound. How long do double bass strings last?

I've done an interweb search for this sonata, and have found nothing; only Misek's other two sonatas. Anyone know where I can find it?

They were new, yeah. I ended up just returning them.

I recently bought a set of Pirastro Flat-chromesteel strings, thinking they were Pirastro Flat-chrome strings. Is there a difference? If so, a large one?
