Double Bass Bottesini Concerto #2 B Minor

So this has me curious now...why are there no copies of Bottesini concerto 2 on imslp? Does anybody know anything about the publication history? If we can find a public domain copy of it it should be scanned and uploaded.

Anybody got an old one in their school/orchestra library that might be PD?

i am bumping this thread for this reason..

why is this piece not available?

i have no interest in learning the whole piece, i'd just like to have a chance to look over the music. (if i was going to be learning it, i'd just buy a copy.)

can anyone upload it?

IMSLP is for public domain music . Public domain music is music for which the copyright has expired, and that varies country to country. IMSLP is based in Canada.

The notes that Bottesini wrote are not copyrighted any more, but the EDITIONS made by the publishers may still be. Most of the music on 4shared is still under copyright and technically illegal to post or share.

If you wanted to, you could make your own edition of the concerto and post it on IMSLP for everyone to use.

Re: no copies of Bottesini concerto 2 on imslp?

It is there but transposed. I am still looking for Double Bass Concerto No.2 in B minor (Bottesini, Giovanni) Did you ever find one?

Just to clarify- you're looking for the piano part in B minor right? 'Cause the bass part will always be in A minor (B minor is for solo tuning, which only affects the accompaniment part. Bass part would still be "fingered" as if A minor)
