Im keeping the 208 as the speaker, I just want to be able to take the head on its own with out having to take the cab every time.

Thanks for the feedback guys, the reason I didn't just want the head is that I need a small cab too. If I do ned to remove a speaker or two will that damage the amp?

Hi guys and galls, I'm using a bass head that runs 300 watts at 8ohms and 500 watts at 4 ohms and I was wondering if I could run this into two 2x10 cabs, each 200watts with 8 ohms. When I run them together will they be able to take 400 watts as the ohms is halved? Or am I just being stupid...

Thanks for the feedback! I've just ordered my first five string and I heard somewhere that 10 inch speakers can't really handle it, Is this true? If so would a Ampeg 115he be a better option? Also this may be a stupid question but how does scooping mids create an issue? Thanks again :)
