Well i bought the Todd Phillip DVDs and i'm realy happy with 'm, and although he's not your regular rockabilly/psychobilly player, i agree that you don't have to start off with plane rockabilly. His teachings are nice and the dvds are realy helping me to give me a good start on my left hand...

I just use Innovation Silver Slaps... That's it, they play nice, they slap nice and i'm happy with 'm...

I just started playing DB and i actually don't have trouble slapping, tutorials enough, but i'm lacking left hand technique. Can anyone give me some pointers, how best to learn, with tabs, notes, any possible DVD's i might buy, sites i might wanna check out or techniques i might wanna try?

I've got a little problem with my bass. My end pin has a bit clearance, even when i turn it as tight as possible. This makes my bass drop over it's end pin while i'm playing which is kinda annoying. Is anyone fammilliar with this problem, or does anybody have a clue what it could be or how...

If a player is amped he has control over two volumes: The volume of the slap and the volume of belly. These two volumes are changed even during gigs, cause every song might need another slap/tone ratio. I wouldn't know if your tone gets lost a lot at the cost of your slap, but I do know that...
