New Amp for me Peavey Combo 300.

Me too.. since they came out with the VB line I've been dying to get my hands on a VB-3 pro. I love my Tour Series VB-2, but I want the loudest!

New Amp for me Peavey Combo 300.

I misspoke earlier. Looked through some old photos and realized it wasn't a mark IV. It was a mark II. I'm ******** like that sometimes...

New Amp for me Peavey Combo 300.

An old peavey workhorse I miss dearly is an old mark IV head I used with a 2x15 JBL speaker cab. I believe the cab was meant to be used as a PA cab, but it sounded sooooo nice regardless. I really miss that stack. Especially the amp.

New Amp for me Peavey Combo 300.

Its a solid brand to me. Outside of SWR, peavey is all I've used. Not because it was all I could afford, and peavey is affordable, but because I just loved the tone and versatility of the amps themselves.

That's a solid amp by the way, and ya, a set of wheels would definitely help on the back bro. Other than that awesome find.

New Amp for me Peavey Combo 300.

I've been playing through peavey bass amps and cabs for a decade now, and I'm still shocked to hear that most people's opinion of them aren't all that good. I currently play a vb-2 all tube amp w/ tour series 4x10 and 1x15. Wouldn't trade it for the world.... except maybe a vb-3 pro!

    Howdy!

What's up dude. Not to intrude on someone else's intro but I'm new here as well. Just hittin up everyone and making myself friendly with all. Love this forum by the way. I've learned so much and gained a ton of insight from it over the last year or so. Kinda become a bit of a tone chaser from...

    Bass budget = $1,000. Help!

I'd love to have me a g&l jb-2 or an American standard fender jazz. Imo, if you got the money to invest, a solid jazz bass with an aguilar preamp would give you a smooth r&b tone. Just as a suggestion... but with a grand to spend you've got a lot of different options to try. Have fun dude and...

    Bass budget = $1,000. Help!

I actually own a gsr200 too. Got an emgx series jp pup set in it. I can't part ways with mine either. Something about it I just have grown attached to. I totally agree with trying out plenty of basses. Ibanez does appeal to me personally, but it really does come down to whatever sounds good to...

    Bass budget = $1,000. Help!

Anything Ibanez imo. I own a modified sr505qm, and a btb675zw for a backup. Both were well under 1000 and sound phenomenal.

    New red Ibanez SR 5

Man... with what I've looked up in terms of custom shop prices from roscoe to elrick and everything in between, I can only imagine how much it cost ya. I've gone the cheap route myself and just bought all new hardware and electronics. Hope someday I can afford a custom shop like that one.

    New red Ibanez SR 5

Call me crazy, but that headstock looks absolutely no different than the new SR models bro. I could be wrong but it looks absolutely identical to my SR505qm.

Man... that six string is beautiful. Couldn't imagine how much you got invested in that beast. Did you do all the work on it yourself or did you buy it like that out the gate?

    New red Ibanez SR 5

Nice bass... I'm a huge fan of the Ibanez SR models. I'm currently customizing my sr505qm. So far, I've put Bart mk5's and ntmb hr5.4 preamp in it, as well as Wilkinson tuners. Still have to have the fretboard worked on and a new bridge, but it's my first custom job.

    Howdy!

Hey Dude. I too am a fellow metal junky myself, as well as a broke as a joke tone chaser. What kinda gear you messing with?
