Would "toilet paper" have been your first hoarding choice?

What about just keeping a little bit stored at home all the time. Maybe a 2 or 3 month supply of water, some canned food and paper products. Then when something like this comes along, you don't have to fight your neighbors at the checkout line. Instead, you can stay home and play music!

Why do so many 5 & 6 string players NEVER use their low B?

I switched to 5 string a few years ago because my band was always transposing down a step or two to accommodate our singer. I use the B string all the time. Songs you just won't play

There are songs I hate playing, but very few I would ever refuse to play. I do hate radio country, but there are a few old country songs that are fun, more like old rock & roll.

    Who plays guitar as well?

I've played guitar all my life (and still do for fun). I started playing bass 4 years ago because my friend's band's bass player moved away. Now I love it. I still love guitar as well. I also like being able to watch the guitar players and know what they are doing. Understanding the chords helps...

Am I too old to get started in this?

I've played guitar for almost 50 years. I just started playing bass with a neighborhood band about 4 years ago at 59 years old. I have found my calling! I AM a bass player.
