What song first drew your interest in playing bass?

Not just one song; the whole Yes Fragile LP. At the time I was still on the guitar journey but after hearing this, I just had to figure out what Squire was doing, and I was done with 6ers. And of course, still playing Rickenbackers to boot.

Bands you have seen that you’ll never forget, but,,,,

Jaco's birthday show on Dec 1, 1981 at Mr pips in Ft Lauderdale. Had tickets for the first show. At intermission a bassist friend of mine (who apparently knew Jaco) introduced me; I shook his hand (nervously) and then hung around for the second show too. It was a surreal night for me. Saw this lineup in 2019 in Atlanta. Wow! One of the best shows ever. It was the perfect Crimson show.

    Don't like PJ's?

Opinion, who makes the best bass neck?

Musicman Sterling 4 (original USA made). Shape and finish are superb (to me anyway). Obviously everybody has their own preference......

Chris Squire made me want to play bass, but McCartney, James Jamerson and Jaco also provided a boatload of influence as well.

Bands you have seen that you’ll never forget, but,,,,

1973 in Miami: Jethro Tull did all of Passion Play, half of Thick as a Brick, etc. Changed the way I thought about music and bands.

your top-5 concerts of all time?

Apart from all the great Yes and Tull shows, I saw the Bruford band (Holdsworth, Stewart, Berlin) in Leicester in 1979. Jeff was killing it that night. Also, Jaco at a little jazz bar in Miami in 1977. Seeing him up close changed the music world for me. (Do any of you South Floridians remember...
