I'm looking for suggestions for a dark strings, but never hear about strings as being anything except bright and warm. Any ideas? Its for a Fender Victor Bailey Jazz V.

Thanks guys, I'll do some experimentation when I get home. The dynamic response of the high strings is much more even in passive mode.

I have a 6 String Fretless bass with both magnetic and piezo pickups. The Bass has an active/passive push pull knob, and I've noticed when in active mode the response on the higher strings (specifically C and G) are much lower than the lower strings. Is there a practical solution I could do...

I would definitely keep my eye on the classifieds. More bass for your buck so to speak.

Do the newer 4 String Roscoe Beck basses also use the same technology, or are the 5 string pickups superior?
